The Aljub Music Association supports artists, teachers, soloists, ensembles and groups with diverse artistic interests, whose common characteristic is professionalism, quality and excellence in their work.




The Universal Symphony Orchestra (USO), which is associated with the Marina Alta region, maintains an intensive artistic activity and is the resident orchestra of the SONAFILM international film music festival.


At SONAFILM 2025, the orchestra will participate in the concert “80 and Action!” together with the American composer Vince DiCola, known for his soundtracks to Rocky IV and Transformers, which will take place in August 2025 at the Ondara Bullring.





In 2024, the orchestra was the star of the sixth edition of the festival with concerts dedicated to great film composers, including tributes to John Williams and to Spanish cinema, which took place in various locations in the Marina Alta such as Calp and Ondara.


The orchestra also performed on national stages, notably at its 2023 concert at the Auditori Fòrum CCIB in Barcelona with a program dedicated to the music of Joe Hisaishi and the films of Studio Ghibli.


Furthermore, the Universal Symphony Orchestra was selected for the opening concert of the Assassin's Creed – Symphonic Adventure Symphonic Tour in Spain.

Initiators of the first regional forum

A forum to promote cohesion and the values of the region.

A region is never a spontaneously formed territory, a phenomenon of chance. Beyond geographical boundaries, closer to feeling, the spirit of the Marina Alta is a union of will and vocation, of committed objectivity and subjectivity.

A strategy built on a sense of belonging to this land that welcomes us, to strengthen a discourse of the claims and legitimation of our potential as a region, as a people. Because these potentials are there, tangible and valuable, waiting to be shared and connected, destined to lead a project of structuring and empowerment.

Necessary qualities that arise from the professionalism of our social and cultural resources, from the projection of our civic and development policy references, and – in short – from the combination of all these cohesion factors. Guiding principles that oblige us all to work together to create solid structures in order to be competitive based on our social, economic, and personal responsibility.

In short, uniting and learning from individual values to forge a collective wisdom that unites us and has an impact both externally and internally.
In this sense, the collective presented here is an open, ongoing project currently comprised of people from various fields (businesspeople, artists, designers, musicians, restaurateurs, etc.). The collective was formed with the intention of evolving in the near future into a mixed organization that integrates all sectors and is united by common goals.

- Promoting a basic common understanding while respecting and protecting the territory and our cultural characteristics.
Some principles that need to be activated, some ideas we all share that will lead to a new and exciting vision for the region, our region. Some coordinates from which we can gain the visibility and resonance we deserve. The beginning of a change of direction that simultaneously means broadening our horizons, so we know how to focus on the right direction – namely, self-knowledge.
A path paved with unwavering determination by the Open Space Collective, the first stone of this journey, so that others too may join. Footprints that mark the path of Marina Alta's spirit: the lived imprint of who we are, the promising blueprint of all that we will yet be and all that we will undoubtedly become.
